Hi there,

Is there a complete installation/configuration guide available for McMyAdmin? I know of the specific information regarding Mono, but there isn't a guide that I've seen that states what to do to actually get it up and running with all features enabled. The specific information I'm looking for is regarding the Users & Groups option in the web interface and how that ties into the game.

What plugins are required to get the Users and Groups function working? I assume "Permissions". I have this installed, and the permissions seem to be working except for the colour coding in the game. I really think that this product could do with some better documentation.

My Server Specifics;

Web Frontend Version 1.9.10.0
Server Backend Version 0.9.4.8 Professional
Minecraft Server Version 1.6.6
jQuery Version 1.4.2
Using Bukkit Yes - Version 818

BukkitCompat r14 - Enabled
Permissions 3.1.4 - Enabled
General 2.2.11 - Disabled
MCDocs 9.4.1 - Disabled
iChat 2.3.0 - Disabled

I have been to the 'wiki', however it is very basic. It only helps with Mono issues. Nothing else. Can you be a bit more specific?

The bulk of the complex stuff is explained in the web ui, there are lots of bits of grey text everywhere.

What I have neglected to mention is that colored names requires an extra plugin, either iChat or HeroChat. Admittedly too many parts of MCMA assume the user knows their way around bukkit and the popular plugins already.

Of course anything you do learn, feel free to add to the wiki - it is an open wiki after all :)

Thanks for your response.

It would be great if there was a Configuration page within the wiki and the WebUI. A few more things to note;

The search function for the Forum doesn't work - says it's unavailable (Using latest Google Chrome)
Registration Page for the wiki - it doesn't want to accept the challenge code.

As per the plugins listed in the first post, the colors don't work with iChat/Permissions. From what I gather, it has to do with the config being saved in the "global" config files, and not "world-name" folder. Is there a fix for this?

It's currently waiting on the iChat developer to support Permissions 3.x instead of the old 2.x versions. Then it should just fix itself.

Is there intention for McMyAdmin to develop their own plugin with the same/similar features that Permissions and iChat offer, or is it more likely that similar features will be built into the official MineCraft Server?

Not at the moment (there's only one of me, and there are only so many hours in the day :) - But it may happen if I decide to commission it out.

I just got the McMyAdmin update (0.9.4.9), and it broke "Permissions". What I mean is, the config entered into the McMyAdmin WebUI doesn't migrate to Permissions config.
