OS Version: Ubuntu 10.10
OS Architecture: x64
(Linux Only) Mono Version: 2.10.5
McMyAdmin Version:0.9.7.0
Prolem Summary: Cannot use basic commands (eg: help, ping, giveme)
Actions to reproduce the problem: Clean install of mcmyadmin with permissionsbukkit enabled in settings and PermissionsBukkit.jar in plugins folder under Minecraft
Expected behavior: Can use commands like ping or giveme

I am trying to get basic commands working for myself on my server, its a fresh install of mcmyadmin using permissionsbukkit.

However I cannot use any commands, I've tried help, ping, day, giveme, etc.  I just get unknown command error.

I've tried adding the commands specifically to the Administrators user group in the web interface instead of just using '*' but that did not help.

Here is the config.yml from permissionsbukkit, I have not changed it from what mcmyadmin wrote to it: http://pastebin.com/RN71DeTP

Your permission file shows that you haven't set up the permissions properly.

You don't just add the command name, you have to add the command node. (e.g. worldedit.*, mchat.reload, etc etc) - you need to read the README for any given plugin to know what its nodes are.

The only exception are the MCMA commands, in which case you need to be running the MCMA_compat bukkit plugin.

I see MCMA_compat.jar in the plugins folder and according to the console its being loaded as a plugin, it shows up in mcmyadmin under bukkit plugins also, but I still can't use help, ping, day, creative, survival, night and a few other commands

Oddly enough I've tried giveme, giveto, goto, whois and summon and they work but still say Unknown command in the client even though it executes the command and teleports me/gives me stuff/etc

Is there something I am overlooking for how to add the permissions in mcmyadmin?  I've looked through the setup pages in the wiki and didn't see anything on how to format them.

I feel pretty silly for not being able to figure this out, but I'm sure its something obvious that I'm overlooking

ping isn't for users to use, its an internal command. Day/night/creative/survival currently don't work while running Bukkit (but will in the next update)

If you want to use commands that belong to a specific plugin, consult that plugins documentation for more information.

I've got most of it sorted out now, with just one issue, I have worldedit installed and want admins to have access to every command, but specifying worldedit.* does not do anything.

Right now I'm having to specify every command separately, is there a way to include them all?

depends entirely on the plugin, I think worldedit might be worldedit.all instead of .*, but you'll have to check the documentation for the particular plugin.
